Description:
Join a growing team developing prototype and low-volume automotive components as a Composite Technician. This hands-on role will focus on the manufacture, assembly and repair of advanced composite components, supporting the development of innovative vehicle programmes within a fast-paced engineering environment.
The Composite Technician will be responsible for:
Manufacturing, assembling and repairing composite components for prototype and development projects.
Carrying out composite lay-up, trimming, fitting and bonding activities.
Performing trackside and workshop composite repairs, including wet lay-up and moulding techniques.
Working from plybooks, technical drawings and engineering specifications.
Supporting vacuum bagging, curing and finishing processes.
Collaborating with engineers and technicians to resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
The Composite Technician will have:
At least 2 years' experience in composite manufacturing within automotive, motorsport, aerospace or a similar environment.
Strong experience working with carbon fibre composite components.
Experience with composite lay-up, trimming, fitting and finishing techniques.
Knowledge of composite repair methods and low-volume manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret plybooks, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Experience using hand and power tools associated with composite manufacture.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
