Description:

COMPOSITE LAMINATOR

Eynsham, Oxfordshire | Permanent, Full-Time

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a chance to join one of Oxfordshire's most respected precision composites manufacturers at a genuinely exciting moment. The business works across some of the most demanding programmes in the industry and has just landed a significant new project that they need experienced laminators to help deliver.

The composites team is well-established, well-led and serious about what they do. The hiring manager has decades of composites experience at the very top of the industry and knows exactly what good looks like. If you take pride in your work and want to be part of a team that does too, this is worth a look.

THE ROLE

You'll be joining the composites manufacturing team working on a brand new production programme, pre-preg carbon fibre components, autoclave-cured, working from ply books. The work is technically interesting, the environment is well-equipped, and the project has real longevity behind it.

Day-to-day you'll be:

* Hand laminating pre-preg carbon fibre components to ply book and drawing specifications

* Preparing and applying vacuum bags, carrying out debulk operations and curing preparation

* Working to tight quality and production standards with a strong focus on right first time

* Completing production documentation accurately and maintaining full material traceability

* Supporting continuous improvement and sharing best practice across the team

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The priority for these first hires is strong pre-preg laminating experience. If you have that, we want to hear from you, background is flexible.

* Solid pre-preg laminating experience, carbon fibre, unidirectional prepreg, hand lay-up

* Vacuum bagging and debulk experience

* Autoclave familiarity, understanding of cure cycles and preparation

* Ability to work from ply books and engineering drawings

* High standards of workmanship and attention to detail

* Good attitude and the ability to fit into a close-knit, experienced team

Sector background is open, motorsport, F1, automotive, marine, aerospace, defence. If you know your way around pre-preg and autoclave, that's what matters.

NOT A LAMINATOR? STILL WORTH APPLYING.

As the project grows, we'll be building out the wider composites team and that means we'll need experienced trimmers, finishers, bonders and composite fitters too. If that's your background, get in touch anyway. It might not be the right moment today but we'd rather have the conversation early than miss the right person.

THE SETUP

* Day shifts to start, with the possibility of early and late shifts introduced as the project scales

* Well-equipped composites facility with in-house tooling

* A team where some of the best people came in with no experience and were developed internally, so attitude and trainability genuinely matter here

* One-stage on-site interview

INTERESTED?

If this sounds right, don't sit on it, these roles are moving. Even if you're not sure you're a perfect fit, get in touch and we'll have a conversation
