I am looking for an experienced Composite Design Engineer to join a leading Aerospace manufacturer for both commercial and military markets. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the design and certification of composite structures or products within a highly regulated industry. This is a role that offers diversity and progression.

Must be eligible for Security Check Clearance.

Composite Design Engineer

Job Description

Design aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software.
 Produce detailed engineering drawings to define designs.
 Work as part of an integrated project team to ensure customers’ requirements are met.
 Create certification/qualification plans including QTPs and QTRs.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

An education to degree / HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferable but not essential
 Demonstration of competence in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
 Familiar with aerospace or similar industry composite design methodologies and best practice.
 Proficient in the use of CAD systems
 Good communication, report writing and presentation skills.
Willing to travel to sites in the UK for design reviews when necessary (likely to be 2-3 times per year)
