Compliance/AML Manager - Cloud Software Products (FCA Regulated)

£42,000 - £46,000k (pro rated to suit initial part time hours progressing to full time)

One of IT Bods leading clients is an independent provider of software solutions (predominantly cloud based). They offer a variety of tax and accounting products catering to individuals, partnerships and limited companies. Some fall under the regulations of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and some are governed by HMRC for Anti Money Laundering.

About the Role:
Due to growth, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Manager to join the existing team. This successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the compliance of the cloud software products, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, with a particular focus on the companies' adherence to the FCA, AML, data protection and GDPR.

Responsibilities:

Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks associated with our cloud software products.
Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance framework for their cloud-based environment, cover the FCA, AML, GDPR and the ICO.
Maintain a deep understanding of relevant UK regulations.
Stay up to date on evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct regular compliance audits and reviews of their cloud software products, and internal systems/procedures.
Investigate and report (to the relevant body) on potential compliance breaches or suspicions of money laundering.
Liaise with internal stakeholders (engineering, product, sales) to ensure compliance integration throughout the business.
Work closely with external auditors and legal counsel on compliance matters.
Provide training and guidance on compliance to internal staff.
Skills and Experience:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a compliance role, preferably within the technology sector.
Must have proven experience in managing compliance for software products.
In-depth knowledge of relevant UK regulations, particularly the FCA Handbook (for FCA-regulated products).
Strong understanding of data security and privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR).
Strong understanding of AML legislation and reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across different teams.
Experience in working with internal audit and legal teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
A proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:

Experience working with the FCA.
Experience in AML.
Project management experience.
Experience in developing and implementing compliance procedures and training throughout an organisation.
Experience in the software industry.
