Compliance & Governance Lead Accountant

We are recruiting a Compliance & Governance Lead Accountant to strengthen financial controls and governance across the regional operations of a leading national facilities management provider.

This is an opportunity to influence policy, improve processes and work closely with senior finance stakeholders.

The role As the Compliance & Governance Lead Accountant, you will:

Lead finance compliance and governance across regional operations.
Develop and maintain financial policies, controls and governance documentation.
Support internal and external audits and regulatory reporting.
Monitor compliance and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Identify control gaps and lead the delivery of remediation plans.
Promote consistent financial processes across multiple regional offices.
Support continuous improvement across the wider finance function. You To succeed in this role, you will bring:

ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification, with relevant practical experience.
Proven experience in financial compliance, governance, risk or internal controls.
Strong Excel skills and experience producing financial reports.
The ability to identify risks and turn findings into practical improvements.
Excellent communication and senior stakeholder-management skills.
Experience within facilities management or a multi-site finance function would be advantageous. What’s in it for you?
