Complex Needs Teaching Assistant – SEN School
Location: Hillingdon, West London
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: Immediate
Education First is currently recruiting for dedicated, caring and experienced Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN school in Hillingdon, supporting pupils with complex learning needs and additional disabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and young people who require additional support with their learning, communication, physical development and everyday care.
The successful candidate will work alongside teachers and specialist support staff to provide individualised assistance, helping pupils access learning, develop their independence and reach their full potential.
The Role

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex needs.
*
Supporting pupils with communication, learning and developmental difficulties.
*
Assisting with personal care where required.
*
Supporting sensory activities and individual learning programmes.
*
Promoting independence, engagement and positive behaviour.
*
Working closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs.
The Ideal Candidate
*
Previous experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
*
Experience within a specialist SEN school or similar setting.
*
A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
*
Understanding of sensory needs and individual learning requirements.
*
Confidence supporting pupils with varying levels of independence.
*
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience supporting non-verbal pupils, physical disabilities or personal care requirements would be advantageous.
