Complex Needs Teaching Assistant | Tower Hamlets, E14 | £95-£105 | Long term to perm | Sept Start
We are in search for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to bring their skills and experience on board to work alongside with an outstanding team in a school in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to improve the lives of children who have difficulty communicating, alongside having complex needs. If you are looking to make a positive impact for these children, then look no further. This role is full time and will be made permanent for the perfect candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care and sensory stimulation throughout the day using the facilities.
Ensuring that every child feels valued and included by adapting to meet the specific needs of every individual.
Provide a supportive environment by having 1:1 interventions with students that have complex and profound learning difficulties.
Understand that learning will have to be more interactive and provide this to the children.
Use your communication skills effectively, as you will be liaising with parents and carers to support the progress of pupils.Key Requirements:
Experience of working with children with Cerebral Palsy desired, but not essential.
Previous successful experience within a similar setting, ideally with children who have SEN and PMLD.
Genuine interest for supporting children and for special education.
Safeguarding experience.
Hoisting experience desired but not essential.
