Are you a caring and patient individual looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex additional needs?
A welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Tilehurst is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with a range of needs, helping them develop their independence, communication, and confidence in a supportive educational environment.
As a Complex Needs Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, providing tailored support throughout the school day. Students may have a range of additional needs, including autism (ASD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.
In this role, you will:
Provide individualised support to pupils with complex learning and developmental needs
Help students develop communication, social, and independent living skills
Support pupils in accessing classroom activities and engaging with their learning
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to meet individual needsThe school offers a supportive team environment where staff work together to ensure every pupil receives the care and attention they need. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in specialist education.
