Care First Recruitment are currently recruiting 'Complaints Administrative Assistants', for various London Local Authorities.
The Complaints Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting customers complaints and statutory enquiry services including Freedom of Information (FOI) and Data Protection requests (DPRs), reporting to the Asset Management Service Improvement Assistant and Service Improvement Officer.
Hours per week: 35 hours
Main duties of a Complaints Administrative Assistant
* Record/ log all representations in the form of complaints, MP and Member enquiries, on behalf of Asset Management, in line with Departmental and Corporate procedures.
* Draft responses to complaints
* Draft responses to MP / Councillor & General Enquiries using information obtained from staff / IT systems.
* Investigate, co-ordinate and improve responses. Also ensuring they are sent in a
* timely manner to a high level of service.
* Report any potential problem areas identified to the Asset Management Service Improvement Assistant
* Aiming to resolve problems quickly and to the satisfaction of all parties without recourse to more formal procedures.
All candidates must have:
* A minimum of 1 year of Local Authority experience
* Experience dealing with customer complaints
* Great organisation skills
* Very good levels of Literacy
* Able to understand and follow instructions & policies
* Able to use initiative
* Good written/verbal communication skills
* Able to work as part of a team
* A non-discriminatory approach
Hourly rate depending on experience and the L/A, range: £14 to £18 p/hr
For most roles you will need either a Basic or and Enhanced DBS (checks by the Disclosure and Barring Service)
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 3-6 months
Salary: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
