Contract Digital Twin COMOS Consultant

Location: Staffordshire / Derbyshire (ideally onsite, with flexibility for the right candidate)
Contract Length: Initial 200-day contract with a strong likelihood of extension for up to a further 2 years
Rate: £800+ per day (DOE)
Security Clearance: Active or lapsed SC Clearance preferred, or candidates eligible to obtain SC Clearance

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading consultancy delivering a major UK digital transformation programme focused on Digital Twin technologies. They are seeking an experienced COMOS Consultant to join the team on an initial 200-day engagement, with significant long-term extension potential.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of Digital Twin solutions using COMOS within a highly secure engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Digital Twin solutions using Siemens COMOS.
Lead the design and simulation of engineering systems within the COMOS platform.
Configure, customise, and optimise COMOS to meet project requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams to deliver Digital Twin capabilities.
Support the integration of COMOS with wider engineering and asset management systems.
Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to implementation.
Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
Ensure solutions comply with project standards, governance, and security requirements.Essential Skills & Experience

Extensive commercial experience working with Siemens COMOS.
Strong background in the design, engineering, and simulation of systems within COMOS.
Experience delivering Digital Twin or complex engineering information management projects.
Excellent understanding of engineering data structures and lifecycle management.
Ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders across engineering disciplines.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Desirable

Experience working within regulated sectors such as defence, energy, nuclear, utilities, or industrial engineering.
Experience integrating COMOS with other Siemens engineering tools or enterprise platforms.
Knowledge of Digital Twin architecture and engineering information management best practices.Security Requirements

Candidates should ideally hold active or lapsed SC Clearance. Applicants who do not currently hold SC Clearance may still be considered, provided they are eligible to obtain it.

Working Arrangements

The preference is for candidates to work onsite in the Staffordshire/Derbyshire area. However, there is flexibility for exceptional candidates, and hybrid arrangements may be considered
