Our devoted and robust adult services team are looking for a male support workers to​support individuals living in Muscliffe, Kinson and Castlepoint areas. The shift pattern is a mixture of 4 pm - 10 pm or 3 pm – 9 pm; weekends also include 8 am – 4 pm or 7 am – 3pm.

For this vacancy we are looking for someone with longevity in the health and social care industry with experience of autism or complex care.

Due to the needs of these specific individuals, we can only consider applications from male candidates for this post, with experience with Autism or Complex Care, supporting people on a 2:1 basis.



You will need to have a Full UK driving license and have access to your own vehicle.



This role empowers the people we support to live as independently as possible and see them thrive. The people we support have their unique way of communicating, whether this be PECs boards, signalong or through repeating specific phrases. If you’ve not used signalong previously we have training available!



As a Support Worker in our Community, your day will include engaging with the people we support by supporting with activities they are interested in, such as walking, music, puzzles, bike rides or spending time in the garden. Aside from getting stuck in with activities, your day might also include helping individuals with food preparation, shopping, accessing the community, providing personal care, and administering medication.



At the heart of everything we do is promoting the independence of the person we support, and ensuring we have a relaxed, empathetic and encouraging team working with us helps us achieve this aim. ​



A support workers day would include:

* Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community

* Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication

* Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour

* Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication



We deliver a 24/7 service and have various full and part time hours available. To support Jake’s package the hours would ideally be within 8am - 4pm or 4pm - 10pm with one sleep per week, between Monday – Sunday.
