Community Pharmacist

Details:
Description:

Our Client is looking for an enthusiastic, patient-focused Pharmacist to join our friendly independent pharmacy team.

This permanent role offers 24–32 hours per week, with flexible working options available for the right candidate. You’ll work alongside an experienced Independent Prescribing Pharmacist every day in a supportive environment where you can develop your clinical skills and share professional knowledge.

This is a varied role with opportunities to contribute to a broad range of pharmacy and clinical services—not just traditional dispensary work.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

* Dispensing prescriptions safely and accurately

* Providing professional advice and support to patients

* Working as part of the daily pharmacy team alongside an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist

* Supporting the day-to-day running of the dispensary

* Supporting vaccination and travel health services

* Helping deliver our weight management clinic

* Providing clinical support and advice to patients

* Assisting with nursing home services, including preparing and managing PillPacs

* Working closely with the team to ensure medicines are supplied safely and efficiently

* Maintaining high professional and patient-care standards

About you

You’ll be a qualified Pharmacist with:

* Current registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI)

* Strong clinical and professional knowledge

* Excellent dispensing and checking skills

* A patient-focused, professional approach

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Strong organisation and attention to detail

* A willingness to support and develop our pharmacy services

* An interest in developing your clinical and prescribing skills

Independent prescribing experience is desirable but not essential. On-site training and support are available, and you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Independent Prescribing Pharmacist.

Experience in community pharmacy, vaccinations, travel health, weight management or nursing home services/PillPacs would be an advantage. Training can be provided where appropriate.

What we offer

* A permanent position, 24–32 hours per week

* Core working hours of 9am–6pm, with flexible options available

* Competitive salary, dependent on experience

* Daily support from an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist

* On-site training and opportunities to develop your clinical and prescribing skills

* Involvement in vaccination, travel health and weight management services

* Experience in nursing home pharmacy services and PillPacs

* A friendly, supportive independent pharmacy environment

* A varied role with opportunities for professional development

If you’re looking for a permanent, flexible role where you can work alongside an experienced Independent Prescribing Pharmacist and develop your clinical skills across a range of services, we’d love to hear from you
