Would you love the chance to support and build relationships with disadvantaged individuals to become socially included by supporting them to move towards training, education and/or employment? Do you have a background in social prescribing, community engagement, social media, marketing, arts and health and wellbeing?

We’re looking for a committed and enthusiastic Community Coach to join our Engage team. One of our main aims will be to engage with a range of community groups, organisations and projects to provide opportunities for disadvantaged people with multiple barriers to become socially included and improve Health and Wellbeing. This in turn could give them the opportunity to move closer to education, training, volunteering or achieving new qualifications.

You’ll develop and maintain relations with local stakeholders, utilising both internal and external support services, seeking opportunities for developing employer relations. There will be opportunities to organise partnership events to ensure our partner are engaging with the project.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of networking and ability to build strong good working relationships internally, across partnerships and external stakeholders. You’ll also have experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, health conditions and disabilities.

Location: You will be based in Redditch
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities

* Build good relationships with local community organisations to facilitate the development of support and referral opportunities for participants.

* Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including Local Authorities and Job Centre Plus.

* Engage with “Targeted” groups as determined by Project Manager based on contractual objectives.

* Partnership working with core delivery partners and specialist partners to reach the wider goals of the project aims and to share opportunities.

Skills and Experience

Essential

* Experience and empathy towards people who are disadvantaged and understanding of barriers to employment and participants progression.

* Understanding of how to affect positive behaviour change.

* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification or experience

* Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programs to include 365 products and modern digital technologies, i.e. Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business

* Experience of working in a target driven environment

* Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.

Desirable

* Knowledge of the employability industry

* Experience of working with people in the provision of ‘Information, Advice & Guidance’

* Full driving license to enable deployment across Worcestershire when required.

* Experience of engaging effectively with the economically inactive groups.
