Community Centre Assistant
£13.45 per hour
Epsom, Surrey
Ad-hoc shifts, zero hour contract
This job involves helping community centre staff and visitors with the delivery of activities and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the centre.
Key duties
* Interacting with elderly members of public, assisting with activities such as bingo, darts and indoor bowls.
* Helping with lunchtime service, clearing plates and wiping tables as well as serving hot drinks.
Candidates should be confident and patient, have empathy for older people and be good communicators.
Health and safety training is provided by the local council who manage the community centre.
These are ad-hoc shifts which may lead to other opportunities within the centre, but this is not guaranteed.
