We are recruiting a minimum of 2 part-time Community Care Workers (Female only) to provide care and support to people living in Killingworth (NE12).

There is the opportunity for this role to become full time in the future, as we build our clientele. 

If you are the kind of person that can make people smile while visiting them in their home, then a Community Care Worker with Be Caring could be the right fit for you. You do not need a degree or care qualifications to be a Community Care Worker, but you will need the right values. Each day is varied, and you will need to have a can-do attitude. 

Pay: £12.00 p/hr (drivers) £11.50 p/hr (walkers)

Mileage - 45p per mile for drivers / 15p per mile for cyclists
Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £250 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.
As a Community Care Worker for Be Caring, we will agree your working pattern, setting 2-week rota which includes:

Week 1: 4 Days, 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the evening. 
Week 2: 3 Days, 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the evening. 
12 hours of additional community support. 
Alternate full weekends.

Job Description

You may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Community Care Worker for Be Caring, patience, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.

As a Community Care Worker working within Killingworth, you will:

Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
Promote independence using enabling approaches.
Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.
Induction Training

We are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. For this role you do not need care experience, we recognise you will have many transferable skills from previous roles, for example as a shop assistant. We will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding 

Community Care Worker. 

As a Community Care Worker for Be Caring, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on:

Be Caring values, going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes.
Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity
Confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication.
Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red)
Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity.
