Job Title: Communications and Events Assistant

GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Communications and Events Assistant to our Public Sector, Education client based in Bath. The Communications and Events Assistant will help to create timetable web pages and support the student support communications to both students and staff.

Main Duties of the Communications and Events Assistant:

To review and update content for the Student Support webpages using a Typecase system, to ensure the departmental websites provide clear, accurate and engaging content.
Support the creation of welcome and induction web pages including department timetables on the Typecase system.
Contribute to the creation and delivery of a communications plan to support the awareness of the services provided.
Using the department content calendar create and follow post schedules on all social media platforms, ensuring content is engaging and relevant.
Support campaigns including creation and design of physical materials, digital signage, social media content and other materials as required.
Draft and publish suitable copy for internal news items, announcements and newsletters.
Collate and analyse engagement data upon request from our various communications and websites to inform effectiveness and future planning.
Provide event support including planning, delivery, and communication with all stakeholders.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of our wellbeing activities program, Be Well Weeks and other wellbeing interventions.
Support the Wellbeing Promotion and Induction Team leader and the International Experience Coordinator to plan and deliver a range of engaging events to support new student's transition.Role Requirements:

Experience of writing and publishing announcements, news items, newsletters or similar
Experience of maintaining and updating websites and digital content
Experience in using social media platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate with a range of stakeholders
Computer literate with experience of MS Word, Powerpoint, email packages and content management system (updating and maintenance of web pages)
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach.
