Description
We are searching for a dynamic individual to take on the unique role of Placement and Resources Officer. As a Commissioning Hub Support Officer, your primary responsibilities will involve supporting the Short Breaks Mini Competition processes. This includes collaborating with the service to identify suitable service provisions for vulnerable children and ensuring the best outcomes for children, young people, and their families. You will also be tasked with following up on provider offers, actively challenging when anomalies exist, and utilising the Liquid Logic system to set up financial packages.
Responsibility
You will be responsible for completing a monthly payment run. This includes challenging and negotiating with providers to ensure optimum value for money. It also includes escalating service and contract leads to quality or engagement issues with the provider and maintaining detailed financial records to support contract monitoring. Additionally, the job will consist of quality assurance forms, contract setting up, and assisting with other essential commissioning-related duties as required.
Qualification – Essential
* GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
* Degree level - Early Years, Education, Social Care, Health.
* Advanced – Liquid Logic Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and CRM.
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
* Knowledge of early intervention education services.
* Proven experience in commissioning, market, and contract management, including specifying, monitoring, and evaluating service outcomes and targets.
* A sound understanding of the needs of children and young people and meeting the needs of vulnerable children and young people.
* Sound knowledge of safeguarding and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Demonstrable understanding of working with differences, disadvantages, and community development.
* Understanding the agenda and local and national developments in service and education delivery.
* Ability to work effectively with a wide range of professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Ability to engage residents, children, young people, and adults by using practical tools for communication and consultation.
* Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to communicate effectively across various audiences using various methods.
* Proven ability to build effective professional relationships and maintain a robust partnership approach.
* Ability to manage, organise and prioritise workload.
Essential Compliance Requirements
* Five Years of Reference.
* Enhanced DBS Checks are required for the role.
* A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
