Commissioning Manager (M&E)
Yorkshire | Immediate Start
£400 - £450 per day + 30p per mile mileage
A specialist MEP consultancy is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their team immediately, supporting the delivery of two key projects across Yorkshire.
This role will suit a mechanically biased Commissioning Manager with experience delivering healthcare, commercial, education or complex MEP projects through testing, commissioning and handover.
Project Breakdown
3 Days Per Week – Hospital Project (Harrogate)
Working on the commissioning and handover of a live healthcare scheme including:
* 2 Theatre Suites
* Recovery Ward
* 2 MRI Rooms
* 2 CT Scan Rooms
* Heat Pump Systems
* Wet Heating Systems
* Air Handling Units (AHUs)
This project is entering the final commissioning phase and is due to hand over at the end of August.
2 Days Per Week – School Project
Working alongside the project team during the early stages of delivery, developing and managing the commissioning strategy through to completion.
Project completion is scheduled for late November.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage commissioning programmes
* Coordinate mechanical, electrical and specialist subcontractors
* Lead commissioning meetings and progress reviews
* Review commissioning documentation and test procedures
* Witness testing and validation activities
* Manage defects, snagging and close-out processes
* Ensure systems are commissioned in accordance with client and statutory requirements
* Support client demonstrations, training and handover activities
* Produce commissioning reports and progress updates
Requirements
* Proven experience as an MEP or Mechanical Commissioning Manager
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, wet systems, heat pumps and BMS interfaces
* Experience working on healthcare, education, commercial or critical environment projects
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
* Strong understanding of commissioning, validation and handover processes
* Excellent communication and reporting skills
