Job Title: Commissioning Manager - New Nursing Home
Location: Wantage, UK
Salary: £82,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commissioning Manager to take responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day running of our brand-new nursing home in Wantage. This role is critical in achieving an industry-leading standard of care and creating an environment where residents receive personalized care and support.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care are achieved through effective management of staff and financial targets. They will promote a positive reputation of the home and ensure that the views and needs of residents, relatives, staff, and visitors are met.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all aspects of the home's operations to achieve high standards of care and compliance.
* Provide effective supervision and support to senior team members.
* Ensure that individual care plans are maintained and standards are met through continuous audit and review systems.
* Implement effective communication methods with all stakeholders.
* Ensure high levels of resident care according to the latest guidelines, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
* Manage complaints and concerns appropriately and effectively in accordance with company policy.
* Develop and maintain effective financial and commercial management of the home.
* Lead the contract relationship and influence the development of added value services.
* Recruit, induct, retain, and develop staff in line with legislation and company guidelines.
* Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix to meet service requirements.
* Develop and implement emergency procedures and contingency plans.
* Protect the safety and welfare of service users, visitors, and staff.
* Achieve financial targets through effective resource management and occupancy rates.
* Produce and monitor annual operating plans and local marketing strategies.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Infection Prevention and Control Policies.
* Respect confidentiality in line with Data Protection Act requirements.
Requirements:
* Previous commissioning experience required.
* Proven leadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
