Description:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HV Commissioning Engineer to join a major transmission infrastructure programme, initially supporting SSEN projects before moving onto SPEN frameworks.

The Opportunity

???? Glasgow

???? 12-Month Contract + Extensions

???? £700-£850 per day (Outside IR35, All-In)

???? Immediate Start Available

⏰ Monday-Friday (10-hour days, early finish Fridays) + optional weekend work

Key Responsibilities

Lead commissioning activities on HV/EHV substations (132kV-400kV)
Carry out protection, control and SCADA testing
Develop commissioning procedures and test documentation
Support energisation, handover and project delivery
Ensure compliance with SSEN/SPEN safety standards

Requirements

✔ SSEN or SPEN Authorisation

✔ SSE Cat 1 & Cat 3 Authorisation

✔ Proven HV/EHV substation commissioning experience

✔ Strong knowledge of protection relays, control systems and SCADA

✔ Experience working under UK DNO/TSO safety rules

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract on critical UK transmission projects with a strong pipeline of future work.
