Description:
Copello are proudly partnered with a luxury yacht manufacturing company in the search for a Commissioning Electrical Engineer to join their Ipswich site.
This is a full time, permanent role with overtime available at an inflated rate.
The Commissioning Electrical Engineer will ensure that all electrical work is completed to high standard prior to handover.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assist Commissioning Skippers in identifying any electrical issues in new yachts, providing solutions and ensuring the issues are rectified
* Rectify any electrical defects prior to handover of the yacht.
* Co-ordinate with the Production and Design to ensure ongoing continuous improvement.
* Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
Knowledge and skills require:
* In-depth knowledge of marine electrics.
* Audio Visual and Navigation systems.
* Extensive and practical working knowledge with AC/DC systems.
* Knowledge and understanding of different voltages (international variances).
* Proven experience of reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
* Sailing experience, desirable.
* Experience with cZone and Mastervolt installations, desirable.
* Electrical qualifications/certifications.
This role is permanent, offering an hourly rate of £15.50 for the first 40 hours worked in a week. Anything over will be paid at £22.70 per hour.
