Our client is seeking a passionate and reliable Commis Chef to join their busy catering team within a dynamic school environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working as part of a team and thrives in a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, helping to deliver high-quality food and excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation and cooking of fresh, seasonal ingredients
Supporting the service of both hot and cold meals
Catering for a range of dietary requirements and food allergies
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas
Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
Supporting the wider catering team with general kitchen duties as requiredThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work
A genuine interest in food preparation and catering
Strong teamwork and communication skills
The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safetyMUST HAVEs:
previous catering/cooking experience in a similar environment
