In the role of Commis Chef your duties will include:
Preparing and serving food
Working with all members of the kitchen team in a friendly manner
Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen at all times
Complying with all food safety and health and safety guidelines
Working the starter section with covers around 150 at lunch
Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes
To be successful in the role of Commis Chef
* At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role
* Ability to produce good quality food
* Understanding of health and safety
* Understanding of food hygiene practices
* High level of attention to detail
* Good level of numeracy Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you
* Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work
* Positive and approachable manner
This is a full time temporary position which could turn permanent for the right person. Working 5 days per week and never over 50 hours a week. On an hourly rate of £15, plus holiday pay.
