Commercial Sales Engineer
Are you a technically minded senior sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving engineering challenges and winning new business?
We're working with a highly respected UK engineering manufacturer that supplies critical valve solutions to the global oil, gas and hydrogen industries. With ambitious growth plans and an international customer base, they're looking for a Commercial Sales Engineer to join their team at their Knutsford headquarters.
The Opportunity
This is a varied role where you'll combine technical understanding with commercial expertise. You'll work closely with customers to understand their requirements, prepare quotations and tend-to-end proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and help deliver engineering solutions from enquiry through to contract award.
You'll also play a key role in growing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, and working alongside engineering, production and purchasing teams to ensure customers receive the highest level of service.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing technical quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
Managing customer enquiries from initial contact through to order.
Negotiating pricing and commercial agreements.
Developing new business while growing existing customer relationships.
Collaborating with engineering, production and quality teams to deliver customer requirements.
Keeping CRM records up to date and providing market feedback to support future growth.
What We're Looking For
Experience in technical sales within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of mechanical products and the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Background in valves, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy or a related industrial sector.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
A proactive, organised approach and a genuine passion for customer relationships.Benefits
