Our client, a highly successful membership association, are looking for an engaging and professional Commercial Marketing Executive. The ideal candidate will have a degree level education in marketing or related subject or 8 years work experience.
The Commercial Marketing Executive is responsible for creating and implementing innovative sales and marketing campaigns across the client's range of existing and new commercial products and services driving increased uptake, sales and commercial success. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, training, events, publications and advertising. The postholder will work as part of the Commercial team with individual and collective responsibility for product lines and associated sales targets.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• To drive the creation and implementation of innovative sales and marketing campaigns for commercial product and service campaigns, contributing to increased engagement, income and profitability. This includes identifying audiences and appropriate, ambitious sales and marketing strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and other targets
* Implementing appropriate sales and marketing campaigns effectively and responsively. o Monitoring and adjusting activity to achieve maximum impact and return on investment
* Working collaboratively and creatively with colleagues to identify, assess and, where appropriate, exploit new commercial opportunities for the company
* Identifying new markets and new opportunities for current products and new products for existing and new markets.
* Contribute to and where appropriate lead the assessment of new commercial opportunities, leading to planning for implementation of those with highest potential.
* Drive the implementation of opportunities with highest potential as agreed with the wider Commercial and management teams.
* Knowledge and experience: Essential:
* At least three years’ experience working in a commercially focussed marketing role with responsibility for own campaigns
* Preparing, implementing and measuring effectiveness of creative, integrated sales and marketing campaigns to meet commercial goals Familiarity with CRM systems and database marketing (eg segmentation of data)
* Creating engaging and persuasive email campaigns using email marketing software
* Using social media to increase engagement, encourage action and generate sales leads
* Managing/being accountable for own marketing budgets
* Proficiency with managing and updating website content using a CMS, including applying SEO good practice
* A track record of developing branded collateral for different audiences
* An excellent level of IT literacy for all Microsoft Office applications Desirable
* Experience of working in a professional membership body or similar
* Experience marketing training, events and/or publications
* Experience of producing creative digital content using Adobe InDesign or similar.
