Interim Commercial Manager
Local Authority Housing Provider
3 Days Per Week | Contract until March 2027 | Outside IR35
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to provide specialist commercial and financial oversight across a large housing maintenance and capital works programme.
This role has been created to provide additional commercial expertise and support contract managers, budget holders and finance teams in ensuring effective contract management and value for money across a significant property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide commercial oversight across revenue and capital budgets.
* Review contractor applications, costs and contractual compliance.
* Advise budget holders and contract managers on commercial matters.
* Monitor performance against contract terms and specifications.
* Identify efficiency savings and value for money opportunities.
* Support procurement and mobilisation of new contracts where required.
* Work closely with finance teams to maintain robust budget control.
Requirements
* Strong commercial management experience within housing, property services or construction.
* Experience reviewing contractor performance, costs and contract compliance.
* Knowledge of capital works and housing revenue account environments desirable.
* Understanding of procurement and contract management principles.
* Strong stakeholder management and financial analysis skills
