Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a commercial manager with a background in construction/engineering projects to be engaged on a permanent basis in Whitehaven, Cumbria.
The unprecedented growth of our Nuclear and Defence portfolio continues to create excellent opportunities, as an experienced Commercial Manager or a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to step into Management, in this newly created role your remit will include:
The day-to-day management of Commercial Teams.
Developing a culture of collaborative working throughout procurement and delivery phases, managing Supplier / Contractor commercial relationships.
Providing commercial expertise and support to the procurement process during the pre-award Procurement phase.
Management of the execution and delivery phases of contracts.
Commercial management for the delivery of contract final account agreements.
Ensure management and governance of contracts in accordance with Commercial procedures, Project and business objectives.
Interface with Legal team on conditions of contract issue and variations.
Leading contract commercial reviews and attending progress reviews as required.
Implementing progress and cost management, preparation of contract specific progress reports and reporting and participating in periodic contract reviews.
