JL Renewable Solutions are partnering with a growing infrastructure contractor delivering major transmission and civil engineering projects across Scotland.

Due to continued project growth and a strong secured workload, our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support the delivery of large-scale overhead line and transmission infrastructure projects throughout the Highlands region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional looking to take ownership of multiple projects whilst working on some of the UK's most significant energy infrastructure developments.

The Role

Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will take responsibility for the commercial performance of a portfolio of projects, ensuring robust financial control, contractual compliance and commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

* Commercial management of multiple infrastructure and civil engineering projects

* NEC contract administration and commercial compliance

* Cost forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting

* Management of CVRs, cost control and project profitability

* Change management, compensation events and variations

* Subcontract procurement, management and commercial administration

* Commercial risk and opportunity management

* Client and stakeholder engagement

* Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors

* Supporting business growth and framework delivery activities

Projects include:

⚡ Overhead Line (OHL) Infrastructure

⚡ Transmission & Distribution Projects

⚡ Underground Cable Installations

⚡ Foundations & Structural Works

⚡ Access Roads & Trackway Construction

⚡ Bridges & Associated Civil Engineering Works

About You

We are keen to speak with Commercial Managers from a variety of backgrounds including:

* Utilities

* Civil Engineering

* Infrastructure

* Construction

* Power & Energy

* Highways

* Rail

* Housebuilding

Suitable candidates may currently be operating as:

* Commercial Manager

* Senior Commercial Manager

* Managing Quantity Surveyor

* Senior Quantity Surveyor

* Commercial Lead

Requirements

* Strong commercial management experience

* NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4)

* Experience managing multiple projects and subcontractors

* Excellent commercial reporting and forecasting capability

* Strong stakeholder management skills

* Ability to lead and develop commercial teams

* Full UK driving licence
