COMMERCIAL MANAGER
POSITION : Commercial Manager
LOCATION : Commutable from Glasgow , Falkirk , Kilmarnock, Cumbernauld, East Kilbride
SALARY: Package up to £80k plus project bonus, healthcare and pension
THE ROLE : This is a permanent position for an experienced Commercial Manager to join this well respected and established main contractor who work throughout the UK. The successful candidate will have specific experience of working on bridges. You will be responsible for the Commercial Management of either a large multi million pound project or a number of smaller projects.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :
* Previous experience working as a Commercial Manager for a main contractor in the Construction sector, specifically on bridge projects
* Minimum HNC /HND level qualification in a Construction related subject
* Experience of managing and developing Quantity Surveyors , Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Trainees
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Carrying out detailed analysis of proposed terms and conditions, proposing alternative terms where risks are deemed too high and overseeing the procurement process for all subcontracted works.
* Advising on standard forms of Subcontract for us on every scheme.
* Management of interim applications for payment and subsequent issue of client’s payment certificates and payment receipts in a timely manner.
* Management of the extension of time claims and interface with the planning department.
* Attendance at monthly project review meetings
* Maintaining commercial and legal awareness
* Management and timely submission of all variations under the Main Contract
