Salary: £30,000 pro rata
Hours: Part-time – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (school hours considered)

Our client, a well-established and growing independent insurance brokerage based in Southampton, is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join their friendly and client-focused team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional seeking a flexible, part-time position within a business that values exceptional client service, teamwork and long-term relationships.
The Role
As a Commercial Insurance Account Handler, you will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are managed efficiently and professionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing commercial insurance renewals
• Processing mid-term adjustments and policy changes
• Handling client enquiries and providing professional advice
• Liaising with insurers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting the continued growth of the business through proactive account management
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
• Previous experience within insurance
• Experience as an Account Handler, Insurance Account Manager or in a similar insurance role
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and customer-focused approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience using Acturis would be advantageous, although not essential
