Location: Manchester (Site-Based)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Projects: Up to £5m
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Glazing Contracts Manager to join our client, a well-established specialist in the façade and glazing sector.
This is a site-based role in Manchester, overseeing the successful delivery of commercial glazing projects valued up to £5m. You will take responsibility for managing multiple live projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The role requires a strong background in glazing, curtain walling, windows, and doors, along with proven experience managing projects from pre-start through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of glazing and façade projects from mobilisation through to completion
Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and direct labour to ensure smooth project delivery
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements
Coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, and internal commercial teams
Monitor project programmes and drive progress on site
Ensure strict compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
Manage variations, valuations, and commercial reporting in collaboration with QS teams
Attend site meetings and represent the business professionally with Tier 1/2 contractors
Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively to avoid delays
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the glazing, façades, or curtain walling sector
Strong track record delivering commercial glazing projects up to £5m
Excellent knowledge of aluminium systems, glazing installation, and façade construction methods
Strong leadership and site management skills
Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 main contractors preferred
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract requirements
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold) and First Aid (preferred)
