Commercial Glasshouse Grower
Location: Kent
We are recruiting for a Commercial Grower / Glasshouse Grower to join a horticultural business in Kent.
This is a hands-on growing position suited to someone with experience in protected cropping, ornamental horticulture, nursery production or commercial plant growing.
The Role
You will be involved in the day-to-day care and management of crops within a commercial growing environment, including:
* Monitoring crop health, quality and development
* Irrigation, feeding and crop nutrition
* Managing environmental conditions
* Identifying and responding to pest and disease issues
* Planning and prioritising crop work
* Maintaining high standards of plant quality
* Working closely with the wider growing and production team
About You
We would be interested in speaking with people from backgrounds including:
* Glasshouse growing
* Bedding plants
* Herbaceous plants and perennials
* Pot plants
* Ornamentals
* Propagation
* Nursery stock
* Commercial plant production
* Protected cropping
You may currently be working as a Grower, Assistant Grower, Glasshouse Grower, Nursery Grower, Production Grower or Horticultural Grower.
Strong practical growing knowledge is more important than having worked with one specific crop type, and applications from people looking to take the next step in their horticultural career are also welcomed.
