Commercial Gas Engineer - Glasgow & Ayr - Salary up to £47,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team, working across a varied portfolio of commercial and domestic properties throughout West Scotland.

This is a varied role suited to an engineer with a strong commercial gas, plumbing and heating background, particularly someone with experience working within Facilities Management environments.

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding and installing a range of commercial heating and gas systems across a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and installation of commercial gas and heating systems.
Work across a varied portfolio including hotel chains, care homes, farms and commercial properties.
Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown works.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
Complete relevant service reports, documentation and compliance records.
Liaise professionally with customers, clients and site teams.
Ensure all works are completed in line with relevant gas, health & safety and company procedures.
Participate in a 1-in-6 on-call rota, receiving an additional £130 standby payment.
Work across Glasgow, Ayrshire, the West of Scotland and surrounding areas.
Develop knowledge and experience in renewable technologies, including biomass and heat pump systems, with training provided.

Person Specification:

Relevant Commercial Gas qualifications/tickets.
A strong background in commercial gas, plumbing and heating.
Experience working across commercial or Facilities Management (FM) environments.
Experience with servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
A full UK driving licence.
A professional approach to health & safety and compliance.
Experience with biomass and heat pump systems would be advantageous, but is not essential as full training will be provided.Salary & Benefits:
