You will be joining a well-established global manufacturing business based in Swansea, operating within a fast-paced and highly technical production environment. The organisation has a strong reputation within its sector and continues to invest in both its people and operations.Due to ongoing growth and development within the finance team, they are looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Assistant to support financial reporting, operational analysis and business performance activities across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move beyond purely transactional finance and gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting and management accounting processes.Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function whilst working closely with operational stakeholders across the business.Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
Producing daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports
Assisting with inventory and stock accounting processes
Supporting cost analysis and margin reporting
Assisting with month-end activities including journals, accruals and prepayments
Supporting financial reporting and variance analysis
Working alongside operational teams to understand production performance and costs
Assisting with forecasting production volumes and capacity requirements
Supporting process improvement initiatives across finance and operations
Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with compliance and controlsWhat you'll need to succeed

Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
Previous finance experience through placement year, internship or commercial finance role is advantageous
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to build relationships across different departments
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Currently studying towards, or interested in pursuing, ACCA or CIMA qualificationsWhat you'll get in return
