Commercial Electrician | Sheffield & UK | >£42,000
Please note: On some occasions, this role may require working away anywhere in the UK, Monday to Thursday, with installations taking between 3 and 7 weeks.
Thorn Baker is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Electrician to join our well-established Electrical Engineering Contractor in Sheffield. With over 20 years of experience serving various industry sectors across the UK, our client has built a strong reputation for providing excellent service. We are now looking for a dedicated and talented individual to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of industrial electrical installations throughout the UK, playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing electrical installations in industrial and commercial settings to the highest standards
Assembling and fitting a variety of mechanical installations, including pipework assemblies, skids, and ducting/exhaust systems
Conducting electrical testing, isolations, and re-energising procedures
Interpreting SLD's, P&ID's, and technical drawings/documentation
Willingness to travel and work away from home for short periods of time (Mon-Thurs) as required
Hold a valid UK driving licence
Act as a point of contact for the company on-site, maintaining excellent relationships with clients and colleagues
Liaising and coordinating with subcontractors
Requirements:
Time-served Qualified Electrician with experience in industrial and commercial settings
Proven ability to install a variety of cable, containment systems, and control wiring to a high standard with exceptional attention to detail
Fully conversant in electrical testing, isolations, and re-energising procedures
Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
Willingness to travel and work away from home for short periods of time (Mon-Thurs)
Hold a valid UK driving licence
Customer and client-friendly with excellent communication skills
Able to liaise and coordinate with subcontractors
Preferred Qualifications:
ECS/CSCS card
