Description:

Our client is a well-established and expanding construction and development business seeking to appoint a Commercial Data Analyst to join their growing team.

This is a pivotal role within the organisation, supporting senior commercial and operational leaders by transforming complex project and business data into meaningful insights that drive performance, profitability, and strategic decision-making.

Working across multiple projects and departments, you will play a key role in improving reporting processes, enhancing commercial visibility, and supporting the successful delivery of high-value construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse commercial, operational and financial data across multiple construction projects

Produce detailed reports, dashboards and visualisations for senior management teams

Support monthly reporting cycles, including project cost analysis and performance tracking

Identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve project and business performance

Work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers and Operational Teams to support cost control and commercial decision-making

Develop and improve reporting systems, data processes and business intelligence tools

Provide meaningful insight to support forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning

Present complex data in a clear and understandable format for non-technical stakeholders

Maintain data integrity and ensure consistency across multiple business systems

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in a Data Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Business Analyst role

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy

Ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels

Commercially aware with an understanding of project-based environments

Well organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities

Desirable

* Experience within the construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or property sectors

* Exposure to project costing, commercial reporting or financial analysis

* Knowledge of ERP, project management or commercial management systems
