Successful and Expanding Global Shipping/Energy Company based near the iconic St Katherines Dock is looking to recruit and experienced Commercial Associate to join their team!
You will be responsible for supporting the Manager with a variety of financial duties in relation to the organisations client vessels.
Duties of the role:
Responsibility for contract management of assigned LNG Carriers from a financial perspective
Ensure effective communication and co-ordination with Charterer, respective vessels, Shareholders, Technical Managers and internal support teams
OPEX budgets and cost management
Ensure effective governance and compliance e.g. Ship Management Agreements, shipbuilding contracts, insurances
Ensure vigorous control and review of Ship Technical Manager actual spend v budget
Preparation of analysis reports between different set of budgets (pre-delivery and post-delivery budgets) and actuals and/or estimates
Correctly track OPEX & CAPEX costs
Maintain account payable and receivable functionTo apply for this role you will have the following:
Be AAT qualified and/or studying towards accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
Financial and management accounts experience is preferable
Strong Excel skills
Accounting systems experience
Shipping experience is preferable
Be numerically astute and comfortable reporting large numbers to management (USD$ millions)
Be capable to report complex commercial matters in a few salient points and provide resolution
Excellent communication skills
Be happy to travel overseas to visit clients once every few months for 1-3 daysBenefits
