Description:

My client, a high profile civil engineering and construction firm are currently looking for a Commercial Assistant on a prestigious rail project in the North of England.

Key activities will include

Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with Company policy. Be aware and contribute in "Your Safety is My Safety" vision
Review requisition requests and process in SAP
Place orders for Consumables and Stationary through the relevant Company Portals
Provide assistance in raising subcontract orders in SAP
Issue correspondence to relevant suppliers and subcontractors
Collation of delivery tickets
Bought ledger invoice clearance to agreed payment terms, raising queries with suppliers where necessary
Collate records and input into cost allocation systems
Maintain document filing system
Assist in general with commercial functions
Attend meetings and training sessions
Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time
Ensure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures to follow an agreed process for cost control

Qualifications & Experience

GCSE in English and Mathematics
To be diligent and motivated
Demonstrate a desire to learn
Good communication skills
Proactive team player
Good attention to detail
Good IT skills
Experience with SAP and Excel is desirable
Previous industry experience would be an advantageousAPPLY NOW!
