Collections Supervisor
Salary: £32,454 - £40,568 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Hereford, HR2 8BH

As a Collections Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for supervising collection services, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of operations, meeting customer expectations, and supporting the performance of the contract.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What Will You Be Doing?

- Carrying out weekly team briefings
- Conducting gate checks and spot checks on waste collection vehicles
- Monitoring health and safety through Behavioural Safety Visits
- Managing sickness and absence processes, including return-to-work interviews
- Carrying out licence checks and contractor control activities
- Assisting with investigations, disciplinary matters and workplace incidents
- Conducting interviews and supporting recruitment activities
- Delivering workforce training, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Planning daily operations, including holidays, sickness cover, training and vehicle availability
- Organising hire vehicles and issuing operational equipment
- Carrying out depot inspections and emergency drills
- Building positive working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Supporting the efficient operation of the depot and collection services

What Are We Looking For?

- Previous supervisory experience is desirable
- Strong communication and people management skills
- IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Clean driving licence
- Good local knowledge
- Safety-conscious with a keen eye for detail
- Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Professional approach with excellent timekeeping
- Flexible approach to working hours, including participation in an on-call rota
- LGV licence and CPC Driver Training would be advantageous
