The role

The Colleague Resolution Team Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Colleague Resolution Team within the Human Resources (HR) department. This role involves ensuring that colleague concerns and disputes are handled efficiently, fairly, and in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

This role is part of People and Strategy where you'll help us to build a culture and brand that people want to be part of.

What you'll achieve

The manager will lead a team of HR professionals that is in place to provide both colleagues, HR Business Partners and managers with immediate resolution advice on day-to-day people issues including colleague grievance, disputes, disciplinary matters, enhancing individual performance, colleague health and safety, occupational health, absence. The Colleague Resolution Team is the first port of call when individual and people leaders need advice and support.

Oversee the resolution of colleague disputes and conflicts, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.

Ensure that company policies and procedures are applied consistently and correctly in all colleague relations matters.

Manage and oversee investigations into colleague complaints and grievances, ensuring thorough and impartial investigations.

Work closely with other HR teams, managers, and department heads to address and resolve colleague relations issues.

Liaise with external legal partners and regulatory bodies as necessary to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Analyse trends in colleague relations issues and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Lead, mentor and develop the Colleague Resolution team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

What you'll bring

Essential skills

Relevant HR qualification or qualified by experience.

Demonstrable skills in mediating and resolving workplace disputes and conflicts.

Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team of HR professionals.

Intermediate level in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to analyse data and identify trends to inform decision-making.

Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all colleague relations matters.
