You will enjoy a stable full-time, permanent position, a supportive on-site environment, and a clear pathway to producing precision metal springs and wire forms for real-world engineering needs. If attention to detail, pride in quality, and practical manufacturing experience are strengths, this Coiled Spring Maker opportunity is built for you.

We are proud of our three generations of British engineering excellence.  For over 80 years, Bradley our traditional craftsmanship combined with advanced technology has  delivered precision-engineered metal components for industries across the UK and beyond

What You Will Do:

- Set up and operate mechanical, lathe-type, or CNC spring-coiling and forming machines to manufacture compression, tension, torsion springs and wire forms.

- Prepare materials by selecting and handling steel wire or flat strip stock in line with job blueprints and required alloy grades.

- Perform manual forming tasks using hand tools, vices, forming plates and presses, including crimping, truing, bending and finishing coiled elements.

- Carry out quality control checks by measuring dimensions, coil counts and pitch using micrometers, calipers and load-test equipment.

- Inspect for defects and verify elasticity or tension to ensure each part meets required specifications.

- Support finishing and maintenance activities, including secondary processes such as grinding, heat-treating or shot peening, while keeping work areas and machinery in excellent condition.

What You Will Bring:

- Proven experience manufacturing compression springs, tension springs, torsion springs and wire forms, whether manual or machine-assisted.

- Solid understanding of modern quality control standards, including AS9100 knowledge or equivalent working experience.

- Familiarity with coiled spring making processes, including setup, tooling selection and safe machine operation.

- Strong measurement and inspection skills using common workshop instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

- A proactive, reliable approach to producing accurate work and maintaining clean, well-organised production areas.
