Job Description

We're recruiting a Cohorts Partnership Lead on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. We've a number of programmes which engage various cohorts and this role will provide relationship management with academic, clinical, commercial and funding partners, from engagement through to data delivery. This is an important role which will be tasked with gathering, communicating and actioning the needs of external partners with internal Delivery teams. 

You'll be the Genomics England point of contact for all external cohorts enquiries, providing accurate and relevant information relating to the cohorts offering and gathering requirements.
You'll manage the relationships with external cohort leads including academic, clinical and commercial partners as well as key funders and internal stakeholders from initial engagement through to data delivery, insights generation and repeat custom where appropriate. You'll be providing reporting of progress update reports and submission of financial claims to external funders where applicable.
You'll understand and implement key activities relating to cohort partnership set-up, onboarding and management including data, analysis and sample requirements, ethics, legal, governance, finance and resourcing. 
You'll help to guide the day to day activities of a Cohorts Manager as part of a high performing team, ensure that all activities are carried out for that role accordingly, and ensuring that we have the right skills in place to deliver our mission. You'll also provide exceptional stakeholder management across teams internally to bring together the staff required to complete projectsSkills & Experience for Success

We anticipate that the ideal candidate will have:

Experience of scientific project management including project costing, resourcing and contractual requirements. 
Excellent relationship building and management skills, demonstrated by effective partnerships and collaborations experience. 
Demonstrable experience with influencing, communication and organisational skills with an eye for detail. 
Proven experience in handling multiple sources of information and producing a range of products (e.g. project plans, reports, etc.) to ensure effective delivery across the project lifecycle. 
Experience in a life sciences research environment either in academia or industry. 

Qualifications

Degree level qualification in a science subject, or similar level of relevant experience.

Genomics England operates a blended working model as we know our people appreciate the flexibility. We expect most people to come into the office 2 times each month as a minimum. However, this will vary according to role and will be agreed with your team leader. There is no expectation that staff will return to the office full time unless they want to, however, some of our roles require you to be on site full time e.g., lab teams, reception team. 

Our teams and squads have, and will continue to, reflect on what works best for them to work together successfully and have the freedom to design working patterns to suit, beyond the minimum. Our office locations are Canary Wharf, Cambridge and Leeds.
