Coded TIG Welder – Commercial Project – Manchester
Location: Manchester
Start Date: 3rd August
Duration: 2 Months
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00pm – 5:00am (Night Shifts)
Rate: £39.00 - £41.00 per hour (CIS)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Coded TIG Welder to join a busy commercial construction project in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled welder to work on a well-established site with competitive CIS rates and consistent night shift hours.
The Role
As a Coded TIG Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality TIG welding on commercial mechanical installations, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications and welding procedures.
Duties Include:
* TIG welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework to coded specifications.
* Producing high-quality, full-penetration welds in accordance with approved welding procedures (WPS).
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and fabrication details.
* Preparing, aligning, and fitting pipework prior to welding.
* Carrying out visual inspections of completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
* Working closely with pipefitters and the site management team to meet programme deadlines.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
* Complying with all site health and safety procedures and company policies.
Requirements
* Valid Coded TIG Welding Certificate (current and relevant to the work being undertaken).
* Valid CSCS Card.
* Previous experience working on commercial construction or mechanical services projects.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
* Own welding tools and full PPE.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality coded welds consistently.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
