Salary: £45,000 + Company Bonus
Location: [Location]
Full Time | Permanent

Are you a NACE Level 3 Coatings Inspector who enjoys being on the shop floor, developing people, and driving quality improvements?

We are looking for an experienced and proactive coatings professional to become a key part of our team. This is not a role where you'll spend your day behind a desk. You'll be at the heart of our blasting and painting operations, working closely with production teams to improve standards, reduce rework, and ensure we consistently deliver high-quality products to our customers.

As our NACE Level 3 Coatings Inspector, you will be responsible for quality inspection activities while also coaching and supporting painters and blasters to achieve right-first-time quality. You will act as a technical authority within the business, helping to drive continuous improvement across our operations.

What You'll Be Doing

* Conducting coating inspections in line with customer specifications and industry standards.

* Monitoring blasting and painting activities on the shop floor.

* Coaching and mentoring painters and blasters to improve quality and consistency.

* Identifying opportunities to reduce defects, rework, and quality-related issues.

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

* Creating and maintaining quality procedures and work instructions.

* Managing customer and third-party inspection visits.

* Acting as a key point of contact for customers and inspectors.

* Supporting customers when the Production Manager is unavailable.

* Maintaining accurate inspection records and quality documentation.

* Working closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement.

* Getting involved in practical shop floor activities when required, including masking and preparation work.

What We're Looking For

Essential

* Current NACE Level 3 / AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector qualification.

* Strong background within industrial blasting and painting environments.

* Experience interpreting engineering drawings and customer specifications.

* Experience working with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

* Ability to develop and implement quality procedures.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* A hands-on approach with a willingness to support the wider team.

* Strong problem-solving and coaching abilities.

Desirable

* Experience within oil & gas, defence, offshore, marine, infrastructure, nuclear, or heavy engineering sectors.

* Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.

* Previous experience managing customer inspections and audits.

What We Offer

* £45,000 Basic Salary

* Company Performance Bonus Scheme

* 20 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays

* Pension Scheme

* Ongoing Training and Development

* The opportunity to play a significant role in improving quality standards and shaping the future performance of the business

If you're an experienced NACE Level 3 Inspector who wants to make a genuine impact, develop people, and help drive a culture of quality excellence, we'd like to hear from you
