Coachbuilder / Vehicle Fitter - We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced coachbuilder to join a well-established accident repair centre who are going through an exciting growth period. Our client has expanded their bodyshop with a brand new area, and this has created new opportunities, as well as winning numerous new work provider contracts.
With a very low staff turnover you will find our client to be a fantastic employer.
We are looking for candidates who have any type of coachbuilding or vehicle fitting experience.
Job Details: Coachbuilder
Experience of working in the automotive repair or conversions industry.
Duties include but are not limited to the stripping and fitting of all types of commercial vehicles, plastic welding for internal cages or cells
You will also be tasked with the removal and fitting of seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, interior trim, carpets, switch gear, light clusters and bumpers.
Applying filler to panels that need to be repaired prior to painting.
The role will involve, sanding down panels using different grades of paper.
Removal of dirt from the surface and parts due for painting.
You will be qualified with a NVQ qualification or have a good level of relevant experience.
Ensure that assigned jobs are completed within estimated times.
You must have experience as a vehicle prepper to be successful in this roleJob Experience: Coachbuilder
Experience of Vehicle conversions or extensive vehicle build experience.
Experience of working in an automotive environment.
Plastic welding experience
A working knowledge of H&S responsibilities
Able to work in a fast paced, and targeted environment and to Kitemark BS10125 and manufacturer's standard.
