The Co-production Coordinator role:

Part of the Income and Partnerships team, the Bids and Tenders Lead is a new and exciting role at Migrant Help. You will Work with the Business Development Manager (BDM), Bids and Tenders, and in collaboration with colleagues across the charity, the role will provide critical support in identifying, developing, and submitting high-quality bid and tender applications.

Key responsibilities of our Co-production Coordinator:

Recruitment of people with lived experience

Ensure client involvement activities are accessible and inclusive of all clients, addressing any barriers to participation

Recruit people with lived experience, conduct in-depth needs assessments to identify support needs and development goals, and use these to design and deliver training and development opportunities

Project Work

Ensure that the necessary processes, systems and structures are in place for high-quality co-production to operate both for internal and external projects

Organise and facilitate Lived Experience Advisory Panels (LEAPs) and other client involvement activities, wherever possible co-delivered with people with lived experience

Support with implementation of actions from client involvement activities, ensuring accountability

Review the impact of operational changes with clients and provide feedback to management about the positive and the negative

Deliver focus groups and support other service user feedback mechanisms, developing processes as necessary

Support people with lived experience to engage in staff recruitment panels and other initiatives?

Capacity building

Monitor the implementation and quality of co-production across the organisation, understanding the barriers and implementing measures to overcome them

Support and train colleagues across Migrant Help and people with lived experience to understand co-production principles and to use those principles relevant in their roles, including developing and delivering training and workshops

Support services with the planning and development of their own co-production projects according to best practice, leading on delivery where applicable

Provide ongoing support for people with lived experience, with a focus on safeguarding, wellbeing and personal/professional development

Support co-production strategy champions and volunteers to carry out their roles effectively

Work with wider other departments to ensure projects align with our strategy, there is a joined-up approach and learning is share

External Partners

Maintain and build relationships with external partners, scoping out opportunities for collaboration

Manage requests for research projects including liaising with service leads, academic and/or other partners

Reporting & Comms

Provide verbal, written and statistical data on engagement and the impact of co-production

Monitor, evaluate and develop projects using reports, surveys, retrospectives and focus groups

Support with the development of new monitoring and evaluation tools

The experience and skills you need as our Co-production Coordinator:

An understanding of or lived experience in the asylum process and/or modern-day slavery

Familiarity with sector trends and best practices in client engagement and participation

Demonstrable experience in using different methods to collate and analyse service user feedback to improve and develop services

Excellent ability to communicate and engage a wide range of audiences from multi-cultural backgrounds, verbally and in writing

Ability to work effectively in partnership and gain confidence of stakeholders internally and externally
