Spitfire Staffing is currently recruiting on behalf of one our well established and successful clients in Hythe, Kent.
Due to further success and an upturn in business, they are looking for reliable and hard-working candidates to join the team.
The Role:
* To produce work of good quality by means of setter instruction, quality gauges and other aids that are made available to you.
* The effective planning of part running order.
* To uphold the quality of produced parts in the department.
* To ensure that production rates are kept to a satisfactory level.
* To be responsible for the control of drawings.
* To ensure that you are working to the correct methods.
* Is responsible for the quality and control of work in his / her section.
* To be responsible for the control of Health & Safety in the area.
* Make necessary decisions to achieve the required results within agreed timescales, policies and procedures.
* To be responsible for the cleanliness of your work area.
* To display good housekeeping in the area.
* To attend daily tier meetings.
* To carry out other duties that fall within the general scope of the post which may be required from time to time.
Details:
* Permanent
* Monday to Thursday = 0800 to 1700
* Friday = 0800 to 1300
* For the right candidate, this role can switch to nights at a later date.
* £25,350 (3 Months probation)
* £26,790 (Thereafter)
* £33,000 (Nights)
Requirements are:
* The ability to read engineering drawings.
* The ability to use specialised measuring equipment.
* A good working knowledge and understanding of the VMC machines.
* A good understanding of how to set the machines.
* Attention to detail.
* Good organisational skills.
* Problem solving ability.
* Good communication skills.
* A flexible approach
