Job Role: CNC (VMC) Machinist

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £17.00 - £21.00 per hour + shift premium

Metalis are working with a leading engineering company in Sheffield, who are looking for a CNC (VMC) Machinist to join their team.

Job Duties:

Set and operate CNC vertical milling machines
Read and work from engineering drawings
Work to tight tolerances
Modify and optimise existing CNC programmes, tooling offsets and machine parameters
Carry out set up's for repeat parts
Run multiple machines
Maintain a safe and organised working environment by adhering to Health and Safety standards

Job Requirements:

Apprentice Trained or relevant Engineering Qualifications (NVQ/HNC/HND/ONC)
Experience within a steel machining environment
Experience with CNC programs (running and modifying)

Salary, Shift & Benefits:

£17.00 - £21.00 per hour + plus shift premium
Rotating shifts - Monday to Thursday, 6am - 3:30pm (35 hours) & Monday to Thursday, 6pm - 6am (35 hours)
25 holidays + 8 bank holidays
