CNC Turning Setter/Operator (Temporary)

£19.43 per hour
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who can confidently set and operate CNC turning machines, producing high-quality components in a busy precision engineering environment.
CNC Turning Setter/Operator Key Responsibilities
* Setting and operating Doosan Puma 4100B CNC lathes fitted with Fanuc controls
* Running existing CNC programmes and making minor adjustments, primarily to offsets
* Machining repeat production components, predominantly steel, approximately 200–300mm in diameter
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Carrying out in-process inspections to ensure components meet quality standards
* Maintaining consistent production quality and working independently
CNC Turning Setter/Operator Requirements
* Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning machines
* Experience using Fanuc controls
* Ability to make minor programme adjustments and manage offsets
* Confident reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
* Good understanding of quality control and in-process inspection
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
CNC Turning Setter/Operator Working Hours
* 45 hours per week
* Factory operating hours: 6:00am–6:00pm
* Overtime available, including Saturday mornings
