An exciting CNC Turner position has become available in Ayr at a precision engineering company.
Job Title: CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator
Shift: 39 Hour working week, working on a 2-week dayshift/2-week backshift rotation.
Dayshift - Monday to Thursday 6am to 2:30pm, Friday 6am to 1:30pm.
Backshift - Monday to Wednesday 2:30pm to 1:00am, Thursday 2:30pm to 12 midnight
Rate: Starting from £18 p/h depending on experience
Shift Premium - 30% when working on backshift only.
Overtime working – Will be paid at + 50% Monday to Saturday, double time on Sunday.
The Job:
* As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator your role involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines.
* Your expertise in machine setup, and precision machining will ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet strict industry standards and specifications.
* Required to program, set & operate Doosan Puma lathes or Hankook Vertical Borers with Fanuc controls
The ideal candidate:
* Extensive CNC turning experience
* Ability to write and prove programs.
* A good all round knowledge of machining various materials.
* Ability to work unsupervised, and as part of a team.
* Able understand engineering drawings.
* Able to work to a high level of precision with tight tolerances and time schedules.
